Remove Green Growth on your Path, Patio, Driveway and Roof

Although they will not harm the surfaces they grow on, moss and algae growing in your driveway can be unsightly, not to mention making pathways and patios slippery and dangerous in wet weather.

It can also make your roof look unkempt, reducing the visual impact of your whole house. In cool damp climates and shady conditions, it can be very difficult to prevent. There are a few options to remove this green growth, depending on how much time and money you want to spend on the solution.

One way to get rid of moss and algae on your hard surfaces is to use a power washer. While immediately effective, this will not remove all spores of moss and algae, and it can return sooner than you would like. An alternative manual method is to use a firm paving brush.

A more long-lasting solution is to use a specialised path and patio green remover. These come in either ready-to-use formulations which you can just spray onto the affected area, or in concentrated form which you need to mix with water before spraying.

Whichever method you choose, be sure to take the necessary safety precautions to protect your skin and eyes.
